Catherine Selig's WF/2020 is the modern version of a timeless formula like the legendary Kelly Bag by Hermès, which has always remained true to its original design. Here we find the modern reinterpretation of a secret patchouli formula from the century before last. Why is that? Meinrad Hilfiger, Catherine's great-grandfather, was a Maitre Gantier perfumer of the 19th century. His secret recipe manuscript was passed down from one generation to the next. His great-granddaughter is now taking it up and using new ingredients to make a contemporary statement of an authentic perfume from times gone by.
Here only the “Patchouli-Coeur” is used, that is, only the inside or the heart of the patchouli leaf to capture the noble creamy-golden essence of the fragrance.
Top note: Bergamot, Ambrette Absolute, Saffron Blossom
Heart note: French rose, pomegranate, peony
Base note: Patchouli Cœur, Suede, Musk
