Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen, two perfume designers who have been linked for a long time and who share a passion for natural materials, dare to translate this preference into 100% natural perfumes with organic wheat alcohol, to sublimate it to the point of abstraction in their fine and unique creations.
What is their inspiration? The journey, whether real or dreamy. To the land of a noble ingredient, a glorified memory or a dreamed-of travel destination. For them, the escape from everyday life must be absolute and have just as captivating an effect on a woman's skin as on a man's.
Isabelle Doyen was a professor at ISIPCA for many years and trained numerous perfumers such as Francis Kurkdjian and Mathilde Laurent. As an independent perfume designer, she worked with Annick Goutal at the age of 26, without them ever separating. This is how she met her daughter Camille, who became "as close to her as a niece". She describes herself as a "sponge driven by enthusiasm". She draws her inspiration from her passions for reading, for painting exhibitions and from her unusual preferences for conductors, dancers, pianists or opera singers, whose performances she follows enthusiastically. She is the author of L'Antimatière and Turtle Vetiver for Les Nez, of Nuit de Bakélite by Naomi Goodsir and of Ce Soir ou Jamais, four-handed with Annick Goutal.
Camille Goutal was a decorative and studio photographer before becoming a perfumer. She loves using all her senses at the same time. She learned the craft of perfume creation alongside Isabelle Doyen, initially assisting in their shared laboratory. She is very visual in her way of creating and has taken over the artistic direction of Voyages Imaginaires. All of the photographs are her own. She is the author of numerous perfumes for the House of Goutal alongside Isabelle, including Songes, Mon Parfum Chéri and L'Ambre Fétiche, which are particularly dear to her heart.
