A true ancestral beauty ritual, Queens and Empresses painted their complexions and their lips with these pigments with infinite variations of red.

• What is vegetal colour? Le Rouge Français stands out as a global pioneer in the use of plant pigments to colour its makeup products. We draw from a rich library of hundreds of dye plants, selected for their unique colouring qualities and biological benefits. Such as madder, sorghum, indigo, Corsican chestnut, and Damask rose. These plants are harvested in their endemic environment, in order to preserve the biodiversity and local economy of the regions where they are cultivated.

• As a brand certified by the international ECOCERT label, all our materials must be 100% recyclable or biodegradable. Our cases and bottles are made from biosourced plant-based materials and glass. Lipstick cartridges are made of aluminum. Other accessories are made of polyethylene or metal. Packaging cases are made from FSC-certified wood sourced from eco-managed French forests.

The tinted balm can be applied with your finger for a natural finish, or with a lip brush, for a more precise application. Take a small amount and apply directly to your lips, working from the center outwards. Lightly tap or press your lips together to help the colour set. Its flexible coverage adapts to your style and preferences. A single swipe delivers a subtle tint with a ‘bitten lip’ effect. For a more intense result, layer as needed until you achieve your desired finish.
