Incense sticks - Japanese Series - 10′ Aroma

Incense sticks - Japanese Series - 10′ Aroma

Hibi

hibi is a little gentle interruption in everyday life, like a reminder of the view of the sky or of flowers blowing in the wind...

hibi are small incense sticks that are lit like a match and, with their natural aroma, give off a fine clarifying fragrance for 10 minutes wherever you need it. hibi is the result of the merging of two traditional Japanese craft traditions from Hyogo Prefecture: Incense sticks from the Awaji Islands and matches from Harima. One set contains 8 incense sticks in a box on which you also light the fragrance and another box with a fireproof base on which the incense sticks can burn.

Application

Please read and follow the instructions carefully before use!

  • The incense sticks must be wrapped in foil so that they do not lose their Aroma
  • Take out a hibi stick (hold it in the centre to prevent it from breaking), press the ignition head at an angle of 45 degrees against the brown rubbing surface on the side of the box and pull it over it from top to bottom.
Once the hibi is lit, hold it in a slightly tilted position with the head down. Wait until the flame has spread to the incense stick and the flame goes out by itself. If you extinguish the flame too early, the fire cannot spread to the incense stick. It is also possible that the smell of the match may affect the initial scent of the incense stick, as the ignition material in the match head has not completely burnt out. (After a while, however, the smell of the incense stick will normalise).
  • Place the incense stick on the non-flammable base and enjoy the fragrance for approx. 10 minutes. You can safely place the base on a table as the carbon material does not pass on the heat. If you wish, you can also place it on the pull-out lid of the hibi box. Stay close by while the hibi is burning and only burn one incense stick at a time to prevent the base from overheating.
  • After using the incense stick, take the non-flammable base and throw away the remaining ash completely. When using the next hibi stick, it could lead to a mixture of odours if any ash remains on the base.

  • hibi is of course not eatable, keep it out of the reach of babies and Children
  • Do not use hibi for purposes other than those specified in the instructions for use
  • Do not store it in hot and humid places to avoid deterioration in quality
