HOPERY was founded in 2018 by Benjamin Böhme. But there is already a long history behind it, because before that he worked passionately for 17 years in his parents' natural cosmetics factory. His mother founded her company in the 80s and made authentic natural cosmetics according to her own recipes.
Today he continues the family tradition of over 30 years and his mother's recipes. All HOPERY products are traditionally manufactured in the Würzburg factory
In addition to the vegan, sustainable products, he also wants to do something good for the earth. HOPERY is committed to saving endangered orangutans. This choice was not made by chance, because the classic cosmetics industry in particular uses a lot of palm oil, the cultivation of which is one of the main causes of the destruction of the rainforest and thus the habitat of the orangutans. HOPERY products are of course made without palm oil, but in addition, 20 cents from every product sold goes to an orangutan rescue station, and HOPERY also donates 10% of the profits.
Isn't it a good feeling to know that you are helping our planet by consciously avoiding products containing palm oil? Due to the clearing and destruction of the rainforest, many orangutan babies lose their mothers. Some little orangutans are lucky and can be saved by NGOs like the BOS Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue Center. There they receive vital medical care and are lovingly cared for. This is also where their long journey back to a happier life in freedom begins.
HOPERY has already been able to adopt 5 orangutans. In the picture you can see the orangutan child Jelapat, who is one of 5 orangutans that were saved through donations from Hopery.
