The story of Petz Hornmanufaktur dates back to 1862. What began as a family business specialising in traditional horn craftsmanship is now continued in Vienna by Thomas Petz. In 2008, he brought his grandparents' workshop back to life, learning the craft from his grandfather Friedrich, the last master horn comb maker in Austria. Today, this knowledge, passed down through generations, meets contemporary design. Using natural horn, the manufactory creates jewellery, hair accessories, combs and distinctive everyday objects, all carefully handcrafted. The individual colours and grain of the material make every piece unique. Since 2024, the workshop has been based in the historic Werkstättenhof in Vienna's Mollardgasse.
