The young Viennese label Mussels and Muscles was founded in 2021 by Lea Köhn and designs sustainable jewelry made of sterling silver and gold that are intended to add something special to the wearer's everyday life. Fine lines meet precise minimalism, which creates strength and a delicate mood in every object. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Lea's creative approach is characterized by the tension between art and design.

In addition to the exceptional design, Mussels and Muscles stands for a sustainable way of living. Each piece is handmade using recycled, sustainably sourced materials. Other raw materials such as gemstones and pearls are consciously purchased or taken from pieces of jewelry that are no longer worn. Lea works with responsible production partners and suppliers who adhere to high quality standards of ethical origin. The pieces are made on site in Lea's Vienna studio.

In addition to the high quality, the transparency of the entire process plays a major role at Mussels and Muscles. Each individual, hand-crafted piece of jewelry is intended to represent an emotional value for its wearer.
