But that doesn't mean that your oil has gone bad - quite the opposite! Natural cloudiness is actually a sign of quality. Cold-pressed, unrefined oils - like all MERME oils - still contain the greatest possible proportion of plant fiber, which is why the oils are so effective. These healthy ingredients are usually dissolved in the oil, but can solidify in the cold and then form a sediment and deposit.

It's the same as having cream of tartar in your wine - it may not look very pretty, but the wine will not be affected and will still taste just as good.

• After cleansing and applying your serum, apply about three drops of oil to your face, neck and décolleté and massage gently. You can use it alone or before your day or night cream.
