They only use the most reliable and effective ingredients, which are consciously and sustainably sourced from all over the world.
The key product line consists of 100% plant-based ingredients, the second line of innovative biotechnological ingredients. The products are so powerful that they can work on their own, untreated and without added fragrances or synthetic substances. MERME's goal is to make skin care simple and effective for everyone.
MERME was founded by Claira Ralston. Claire's passion for clean skincare arose during her studies at the Australian College of Natural Beauty. There, the Australian-born woman was particularly interested in the effectiveness of non-invasive and natural beauty methods. After another ten years of experience in the magazine and beauty industry, she came to the realization that even the supposedly "natural" skincare products were full of unnecessary chemicals and toxins. After Claire moved to Berlin in 2014, she could not find any clean, organic skincare that met her needs. So Claire started sourcing the good ingredients herself - MERME was born. Since its launch in 2016, MERME Berlin has developed from a single facial oil to 19 different clean skincare products that can be combined to create an individual facial care routine.
Where does the name MERME come from? Merme was Claire's grandmother, who lived on a cattle farm in northern New South Wales, Australia. Since she was a child, she believed in the power of nature and in living off the land. Merme had every kind of oil for every need. "She was an extraordinary woman and the ultimate power woman for me!" says Claire, whose grandmother was both a source of inspiration and a role model.
